Topside of Beef/Slow Roasted Pork Belly – £9.95
Pigs in blankets, Yorkshires, cauliflower cheese – Additional 75p

Served with: roast potatoes, greens, creamed leeks, mashed swede, broccoli, parsnips, gravy.

Topside of beef and pork belly.

A ‘pig in a blanket’ and cauliflower cheese.

Good to see a variety of vegetables and they were all well cooked and the Yorkshire puddings were fluffy and light. The roast potatoes were hot and not dry – great to see on a Sunday lunch plate. However, when you got to the centre of the mound of food, it was luke-warm and the vegetables saturated with the lashings of gravy. The pork belly was good, although had no crackling and instead a, dry, chewy rind. The ‘pig in blanket’ was slightly cold in the middle and I’d question purchasing one for extra cash again.

Great for hangovers, affordable and a large venue. Also ideal for watching the football in.
