Review – The Eddy
Date of Visit: 26th August 2012
Confit of Pork – £10.95
Served with: roast potatoes, cauliflower cheese, greens, red cabbage, mashed swede, apple sauce, Yorkshire pudding, gravy.
Firstly, the portion was too large and served on a tiny plate, which meant some of my roast spilled out onto the table. Not a great start. The meat was very dry and not very well cooked. The potatoes were also exceptionally dry and the gravy lacked flavour. The one redeeming feature were the greens and red cabbage which were edible, however the cauliflower cheese tasted floury and the mashed swede was lumpy.
A nice pub to drink in, but certainly not one to eat in.
