News – Thought you knew the CroDough? Think again …
Just what is Mr Bake up to? For the last few days, the Brighton baking maestro and maker of the CroDough – a doughnut/croissant hybrid, and a filthily delicious beast among cakes – has been teasing his Twitter followers with cryptic references to something called ‘MrBake100’. But what does it mean? A new café? A new café selling 100 different cakes? That he’s actually really, really old?
Well, this morning Mr Bake announced that on Saturday 12th July, in a secret pop-up location somewhere in Brighton, he’ll be selling 100 ‘pimped-up, extreme, experimental CroDoughs in four unique, never before seen flavours’. An extreme CroDough? This we have to try – elasticated waistbands at the ready.
