News – Local Bakeries Triumph at World Bread Awards
The annual competition sees entries from across the UK, ranging from amateurs to more established bakers. The ethos of the awards are to “celebrate the skill of bread-making” and “encourage and foster the art of baking, both now and for the future generation”.
It makes our city immensely proud that Sussex Bread Co. claimed first prize for their gluten-free brioche burger rolls – used by the likes of Coggings & C0 and Trolls Pantry – with Sugardough taking third for their white soft-crust sourdough.
A great result for both bakeries and accolades surely to put Brighton and Hove on the baking map.
