News – Brighton & Hove Food and Drink Awards 2014

The Brighton & Hove Food and Drinks Awards 2014 came to an intense climax yesterday evening at Hotel Du Vin, with trophies being taken home by 64 Degrees, Iydea, Ginger Pig and Sussex Yeoman – to name but a few.

Part of the Food Festival’s Autumn Harvest program, the Food and Drink Awards are a popular event in the city’s food calendar. This year saw the introduction of new categories such as ‘Best Burger’ and ‘Sustainable Food Business’.

Nominations ran between March and June, with over 2,500 members of the public putting forward their favourite establishments. The top three in each category were then secretly judged over the summer by an eclectic mix of Brighton and Hove food types, plus festival sponsors.

A huge congratulations to all involved. Here’s the run-down of who took home which award:

Best Restaurant: 64 Degrees
